Request for PVSEC AWARD nomination
PVSEC-30 Organizing Committee has been enacting and implementing “PVSEC AWARD” in order to encourage and promote for academic and technological development in all the photovoltaic fields. All the awards will be presented at PVSEC-30 & GPVC 2020 in November 2020.
The PVSEC Award nominations are now submitted by e-mail (info@pvsec30.com).
Purpose
To recognize and encourage outstanding research in the field of interest to photovoltaics as well as in the field of industry, policy, public relations.
Eligibility
The nominees are experts at domestic and foreign professionals who have contributed greatly to the development of photovoltaic science and technology in the fields of solar power generation.
Professional AWARDS of PVSEC-30
The winner will be provided certificate of award and prize.
It will be awarded at the opening ceremony on November 9 (Mon).

PVSEC AWARD
- The PVSEC AWARD is awarded to 1 or 2 persons who has been devoting oneself to the progress of photovoltaic science and engineering for many years, belonging to the PVSEC society.

PVSEC SPECIAL AWARD
- The PVSEC SPECIAL AWARD is awarded to up to 3 persons who has been contributing a great deal to the growth of photovoltaic industrial technology, or who has been actively participating in public-policy-making or the like.

HAMAKAWA AWARD
- This award is established by the WCPEC-6 Organization Committee in 2014 to honor the outstanding contributions of Emeritus Professor, Yoshihiro Hamakawa (Osaka Univ.) to photovoltaic science and technology development. This award is given to one person who has made outstanding research and technological accomplishment, and creativity of PV energy conversion (new concepts, new materials and new devices).

YOUNG SCIENTIST AWARD (Korea specific)
- This award is to recognize up to 3 young scientists and engineers (50 years old or younger) who have made outstanding research and technological accomplishments, and creativity in the all areas of photovoltaic science and engineering.

GPVC DAEJOO AWARD
- This award is provided by Daeju Electronic Materials Co., Ltd. and a total of 2 persons who have contributed greatly in photovoltaic field and technology are selected and awarded with a prize money of about USD 1,700 for each.
Dates for Nomination and Selection
Deadline for candidate recommendation: September 15, 2020
Awardee selection: September, 2020 in the Award selection committee approved by the board of directors in KPVS.
